welcome back to the photos great about all the ballast i think its looks great like that also much better to keep less lineside clearance of the gngs to to 2 miles is a long way to keep up with plus the rest of the line happy snapping robert Good to hear from you Matt and welcome. Could I gently ask that some punctuation would help this old duffer understand your posting? Is it to do with these 'phone things? I too am relaxed about the greening as it has been a miserable April. I can understand how the Bluebell authorities must be praying for a real sun and rain May.

For Gods sake Robert, give nature a chance. do you really think those responsible are as ignorant and stupid as you keep suggesting? It wasn't so long ago you were suggesting the extension would not be completed in time. You were as usual proved wrong. Please stop whining and belittling a fantastic achievement

Perhaps God is not looking at the cutting as it is so ugly; so what is wrong with helping nature on its way with a few free sacks of grass seed?

The uneven wear on the rail crown could be due to a nuimber of factors. 1. Secondhand rail from another location, Cure by renewing rail. 2. Uneven wear on the tyres of locos and rolling stock, cure by turning rollingstock and reprofiling the tyres. 3.Settlement of newly laid track , cure retamp. The uneven wear would not seem serious at the low speds run, action should be taken when twists occur or any other major top defect appears.
